Eber lived 34 years before Peleg was born. We don’t know what those years looked like for him. We don’t know if he wondered when God’s promises would unfold or if he felt forgotten in the waiting. What we do know is that his life mattered. He was part of the faithful line that would eventually bring the Messiah into the world.

Trusting God while His timing is still unfolding means letting go of the need to see the whole picture right now. It means believing He is faithful even when your circumstances feel stagnant. It means choosing to live obediently today, even when you don’t know what tomorrow will bring.
This kind of trust is not passive. It’s an active decision to believe God is working, even when you can’t trace His hand. It’s choosing to be faithful in the small things, knowing that God often builds the greatest works through the smallest acts of obedience.
If you’re in a waiting season, take heart. You are not forgotten. You are not stuck. You are living in the middle of a story God is still writing. Your faithfulness today is preparing the way for what He will do tomorrow, next year, or even in the generations that follow you.
Genesis 11:16 doesn’t give us a miracle story or a dramatic testimony. It gives us something even more valuable: the assurance that God is faithful in the ordinary, in the waiting, in the years that feel slow. He was faithful to Eber, and He will be faithful to you.
