1 Corinthians 12:25-26

Verse of the Day

1 Corinthians 12:25-26

“So that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.”

Quiet Prayer

Lord Jesus, You have made us one body in Yourself. Teach me to care for others with the same gentleness and attention that You have shown me. Soften my heart where it has grown indifferent, and open my eyes to notice both the pain and the joy around me. Let Your love be the reason I move toward others, and quiet my spirit in Your peace.

Devotional Reflection

These verses invite you into a way of life that is slower, kinder, and deeply connected. In Christ, you are not an isolated believer trying to manage everything alone. You belong to a body where every part is meant to be noticed and valued.

Perhaps you have seen this when someone in your church faced a diagnosis or a loss. Meals appeared at the door, quiet texts arrived at just the right time, and people sat in silence when there were no perfect words. In those moments, you were not simply being polite. You were sharing in the suffering of Christ’s body.

The same is true in moments of honor. When a child is baptized, a marriage restored, or a long prayer finally answered, your joy joins theirs. Their celebration becomes yours, because you are joined together in Him.

You may not feel important or central, yet these verses say your response matters. Your willingness to notice, to pray, to send a small kindness, is part of how God cares for His people. Equal concern grows one simple act at a time.

Quick Next Step

Sometime today, choose one person who is either suffering or celebrating, and reach out with a brief message, call, or card that simply says, “I am with you.”
