Verse of the Day
1 Thessalonians 5:24
“The one who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.”
Quiet Prayer
Lord, You know the places where I feel tired, unsure, or unable to do what You have asked of me. I confess that I often look at my own strength more than I look at Your faithfulness. Please calm my heart and teach me to trust that what You begin, You will complete. Let my soul rest in the quiet confidence that You will be faithful to Your word.
Devotional Reflection
This verse is beautifully simple, yet it carries a deep promise. God is the One who calls, and God is the One who completes what He begins.
So often, you may hear a call from God and immediately start measuring your abilities. You think about your energy, your past failures, your age, or your limitations. Without noticing, the focus shifts from the Caller to yourself.
Paul reminds us that our security is not in how strong, organized, or impressive we are. Our security rests in the character of God. He is faithful. He does not forget you, lose interest in you, or leave you to finish His work alone.
Think of a skilled gardener who plants a seed with care. The seed does not strain to become a flower. It simply remains where it has been placed, receiving what the gardener provides. In the same way, your part is to stay responsive and open to God, while trusting Him to provide the strength, wisdom, and timing.
You may not see the full picture of what God is doing in your life. Yet this verse invites you to breathe, to loosen your grip, and to remember that the faithful One has taken responsibility for the outcome.
