Matthew 2:9
After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.
The wise men had traveled far, following a star they barely understood. They had questions. They stopped to ask for directions. They even encountered a king who tried to mislead them. But when they left Jerusalem and saw the star again, it went ahead of them. It led them exactly where they needed to go.

Devotional Reflection
The wise men had been following the star for months, maybe longer. They had studied the heavens, recognized something significant, and set out on a long journey with no guarantee of what they would find. They were seekers, but they were also travelers in transition.
